Healthy Baby Mac and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients
• 15g butter
• 1 tablespoon wholemeal spelt flour
• 150 ml milk
• 50g grated cheese (tasty or mozzarella)
• ½ cup steamed veggies
• ¼ cup macaroni pasta

Method
Step 1 - Place ¼ cup macaroni into a pot of boiling water and cook until soft, as per the packet directions, drain and set aside.
Step 2 - Melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan. Stir in flour to make a smooth paste.
Step 3 - Whisk in the milk and stir until thick.
Step 4 - Remove from the heat and stir in grated cheese until it has melted and the sauce is smooth.
Step 5 - Mash your steamed veggies into mixture creating a smooth cheese sauce.
Step 6 - Place ¼ cup macaroni into a pot of boiling water and cook until soft.
Step 7 - Stir the puree through the pasta. This makes about 1 cup of baby food.
