Mumma's "Fail-Safe" Smoothie Recipes

Who doesn’t love a delicious smoothie?

Smoothies  are a great way to sneak in extra veggies and other nutrients into your kids' diets. My kids do prefer a fruit only smoothie and I know these are sure to be fail-safe and a winner when trying to fill the hunger gap and getting lots of nutrition in. Healthy and oh so yummy, these will be a hit in your household too!

In a blender add the following ingredients and blend till smooth:

Pink Raspberry Smoothie

  • 2x bananas
  • 2x chopped pears
  • 250ml of either tap water / coconut water / apple juice
  • 250ml of strawberry yoghurt
  • 400g frozen raspberries

Tropical Fruit Smoothie

  • 2x bananas
  • 2x chopped apples
  • 250ml of either tap water / coconut water / apple juice
  • 250ml of vanilla or plain yoghurt
  • 300g frozen mango
  • 6-8 cubes of frozen passion fruit

Handy hint: use frozen fruits in winter months and fresh fruits when in season! You can add and mix and match any combinations to create your own special smoothie that your little ones will love.

Bonus tip: Freeze leftovers – it makes for great frozen desserts / ice creams.
